Jenny Norman (Executive Consultant)

Jenny Norman, Ed.M. is an educator, researcher, and entrepreneur, who strives for Social Justice in education. She received her Master’s in Teaching and Learning with a specific focus in science education from Harvard Graduate School of Education. 

Jenny worked as a researcher at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in the Science Education Department where she conducted original research in STEM identity. She has taught or designed original courses in science that are currently being used in high schools across the country and at Harvard University. Her work focuses on changing how science is communicated and taught to make STEM more innovative and inclusive, particularly with students from marginalized communities that are historically underrepresented in STEM-related fields.  She is currently a doctoral candidate in the STEM Curriculum & Instruction Program at the University of Minnesota. Prior to receiving a B.A. in Biology and interest in science education, Jenny worked as an organizer, farmer, art installer, carpenter, and dishwasher. All of these experiences have contributed to her interest in finding dynamic ways to teach and interact with STEM.
